J Newman Post (v1.0)

Hello and welcome to the Baker Midsummer Nights Dream blog everyone! My name is Julian Newman and I am working with Ms.Patrick to set up this blog. My main job is to make music for the production, which is a big collaboration between directors and us musicians. I am working with Sam, Cole and John Kinne to make the best music to set the tone of the play/scenes. I play trumpet, but I also have experience on the piano. Sam and Cole are both snare drum player, but they can also do bells (xylophone and glockenspiel). John is a fellow trumpet player, and I play in an ensemble out side of school with him. A lot of the stuff that we're doing is mostly messing around on the different instruments until we find something cool, and then to work on it to make it solid. We already have made up a few pieces for different characters, Sam and Cole made a xylophone piece for the fairy dances, I did jazz for mechanicals on a jazz kit using the synth/keyboard (with a bit of actual drum help from Sam).
